Parent/ Wrestler Requirements:
The Coach reviewed the Wrestling Code/ Guidelines and Contract and Basic
Rules and Regulations with emphasis on the following:
  • The need for good hygiene- no sharing of towels, clothing, equipment, etc.
The need to bathe daily especially after any wrestling contact.
  • Wrestle offs- can occur, but coaches still can make a decision re. who will
appear in the line up. The rationale is that some wrestlers can perform well
in practice, but do not do as well on the live mat. Coaches will take that and
    other factors into consideration.

  • Recommended that parents get involved in the booster club. It helps parents
to build relationships with other parents, as well as helping out the team.
Parents will be asked to step up and assist with a variety of activities, which
help support, the team including concessions, Beef -n-Beer, Golf outing, etc.

The DEHS Cougar Wrestling Team is proud to announce our partnership with Jim
Schoenlank and his company "Giving Bean" as a new team fund-raiser for the
2007-2008 season.

GIVING BEAN ...  is the place where you can support your school, charity or other
non-profit by buying freshly roasted coffee and artisan quality tea.

Each bag purchased contributes $3.00  to our organization by simply confirming
your donation at checkout.  It's easy and delicious on so many levels...

Some basics on Giving Bean:

Fresh Roasted Coffee -locally roasted
Delivered to your door in 1-2 days after roasting - (freshness makes a big
difference)
$3.00 per bag gets donated directly to the team.

We will be sending out a letter to our wrestling family and ask that you send it out
to your friends and family.  Place it in your holiday cards, order the coffee and tea
as holiday gifts, post it in your lunch room at work, perhaps get your employer to
purchase the coffee to give as client gifts! Just use your imagination!

You may access the DEHS "Giving Bean" page from the front page of this site.
Just click on the Giving Bean banner!
General information:
Wrestlers are encouraged to participate in post/pre-season wrestling
training/competitions.

What does it take to see your wrestler to post-season success?
Physical and cardio training (participating in other school sports can
help), off-season competition, a winning record in the mid to high 20's +
for the season with minimal losses, good weight management techniques,
participating in team camps and events, a strong desire to win and not
accept a loss.  All these tips and more will hedge your bets.
To be named to the "All Ches-Mont Team"  or to receive "Honorable
Mention" your wrestler must have: an undefeated record within the
league or a league record with a single loss accompanied by legitimate
post season success.
